Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society Proficiency Award
For the last several years the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS) has been pleased to participate in the awards program that many veterinary schools present to active students. We are honored to be a part of it and know how important it is to recognize students for their hard work and commitment to excellence.
This year VECCS will continue to provide the funds associated with the proficiency award. There will be a cash stipend of $500 to the VECCS award recipient. In addition to the cash stipend VECCS will also provide the personalized certificate, stethoscope with VECCS logo and membership in VECCS for the remainder of this year and next (which includes subscription of our scientific journal).
The award is intended to be for a 4th year student who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment and exceptional proficiency in caring for emergency and critical care patients (regardless of species). Further, special consideration should be given to students who have been active and productive members of the local Chapter of SVECCS.
